Andy Cotgreave

Andy Cotgreave is co-author of The Big Book of Dashboards, and Technical Evangelist at Tableau. He is the host of If Data Could Talk, co-host of Chart Chat and columnist for Information Age. He has over 15 years’ experience in data visualisation and business intelligence, first honing his skills as an analyst at the University of Oxford.  Andy helps customers, media and analysts across all industries see and understand their data. He has inspired thousands of people with technical advice and ideas on how to identify trends in visual analytics and develop their own data-discovery skills.

Amanda Makulec

Amanda Makulec is a data visualization leader and expert in public health data visualization. She has worked with clients in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to design effective health data graphics, develop health data dashboards, and build cross-functional data teams. Her work emphasizes visualizing data responsibly, particularly when communicating health information and designing analytical tools that inform decisions about access, delivery, and quality of health care services. 

Amanda has led data visualization workshops and courses for thousands of people around the world, from Boston to Zimbabwe. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art and frequently guest lectures on data visualization design in public health and analytics programs. She hosts Chart Chat with her co-authors and writes about data visualization in publications including Nightingale, the New York Times, Fast Company, and her Viz Responsibly newsletter. Amanda serves on the Advisory Council for the global Data Visualization Society, where she is a founding board member and served as Executive Director (2021-2024) and Operations Director (2019-2020).

Jeffrey Shaffer

Jeffrey A. Shaffer is the Director of the Applied AI Lab and the Kirk and Jacki Perry Professor of Analytics and Assistant Professor-Educator at the University of Cincinnati in the Carl H. Lindner College of Business. He previously served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Information Technology and Analytics at Recovery Decision Science and Unifund. While Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati, he was awarded the 2021 and 2016 Outstanding Adjunct Professor of the Year. 

He is a regular speaker on the topic of data visualization, artificial intelligence, generative AI, and Tableau training at conferences, symposiums, workshops, universities, and corporate training programs. He is a 5x Tableau Visionary, and in 2021 was inducted into the Tableau Visionary Hall of Fame. His data visualization blog was on the shortlist award for the 2016 Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards. He is also the co-author of The Big Book of Dashboards and co-host Chart Chat.

Steve Wexler is the founder and chief chart looker-atter for Data Revelations. He is also the author of The Big Picture: How to Use Data Visualization to Make Better Decisions—Faster (winner of Data Literacy’s Most Insightful Data Book) and co-author of The Big Book of Dashboards: Visualizing Your Data Using Real-World Business Scenarios

Steve has worked with ADP, Gallup, Johnson & Johnson, Deloitte, ACLU, Convergys, Consumer Reports, The Economist, SurveyMonkey, Con Edison, D&B, Marist, Cornell University, Stanford University, Tradeweb, Tiffany, McKinsey & Company, Fidelity, and many other organizations to help them understand and visualize their data. A Tableau Visionary (Hall of Fame) and Iron Viz winner, Steve also serves on the advisory board to the Data Visualization Society and along with his fellow authors is co-host of the popular webinar series Chart Chat (winner of Data Literacy’s most interesting podcast award). Steve is also widely recognized as one of the world's experts in visualizing survey data. 

His presentations and training classes combine an extraordinary level of product mastery with the real-world experience gained through developing thousands of visualizations for dozens of clients.
